When you have teenagers, you always expect to have to clean up after them. They seem to be automatically programmed to leave a mess wherever they go. Most of the time, it is just a matter of picking up items that they have left on the floor or littered across the coffee table in your living room. However there are occasions where they will spill something onto the carpet that leaves a nasty stain.
While you have developed ways of tackling most spillages, your daughter’s pink eye shadow spilt over your light-coloured carpet or rug is one stain that you just haven’t mastered yet.
The reason why this is so difficult to tackle is because it gets imbedded into the carpet fibres and no amount of vacuum cleaning can pick up every fine particle.
Simply follow these carpet cleaning tips and you will have no problems removing any powdered make-up from your carpet or rug:
• First of all you should vacuum clean as much of the powder as possible using a narrow attachment for better control.
• Apply a mild laundry detergent to the make-up stain.
• Massage the area in a circular motion using an old toothbrush.
• Rinse the area with warm water.
• Soak up the moisture using a clean white towel until the area is completely dry.
While taking care of one little stain is relatively easy, the same cannot be said for a complete carpet clean. The best option to make your carpet look brand new is to call in a cleaning company that specialises in carpet cleaning London.

This is great information. The last carpet cleaners I hired weren't trained at all. I'm not sure if they've seen a carpet before. They messed up my carpet and since then I'm looking for new company or tips how to do it by myself. After Builders Cleaning.
